The film, The Wizard of Oz was made in 1939. It starred Judy Garland and was based on a novel written in 1900. This is a fun theme for a party as there are so many quirky characters to choose from. There is also a great selection of songs to play and sing-a-long to – Over the Rainbow – Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead. Take a trip down the yellow brick lane with your friends!

- Create your own Emerald City with green lanterns and fairy lights.
- Over the Rainbow is a popular Wizard of Oz song, use rainbow themed tableware and decorations.
- Find some yellow carpet, a rug or a sheet to create a yellow brick road in the entrance to the party. Place tea light candles beside the ‘road' to light the way for your guests.
