Canada Party Dates

You can have a Canadian party whenever you want, but here are some notable events you could mark:

  • 15 February is National Flag of Canada Day, celebrating Canada's famous red maple leaf.
  • 1 July is Canada Day (Fête du Canada), formerly Dominion Day. Sometimes called Canada's birthday, it is the anniversary of the legislative creation of Canada.
  • The second Monday in October Canada's Thanksgiving Day.

  • Canadian food includes maple syrup, Canada's most famous export, delicious on pancakes, and poutine, a Quebecois dish of French fries and fresh cheese curds, covered in gravy.
